Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about MobileVitals, our content, sources, and how we work.

What is MobileVitals?
MobileVitals is a library of 1,000+ mobile engineering articles from companies like Uber, Airbnb, Meta, and Spotify. We pull together articles about app performance, engineering practices, and developer tooling, then categorize and summarize them so you don't have to hunt across dozens of separate blogs.
Where does the content come from?
Everything comes from official company engineering blogs. We link straight to the original posts and never republish or host full article text. If an article has a summary on our site, that's there to help you figure out whether it's worth your time before clicking through.
What platforms and technologies do you cover?
iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform, Mobile Web, and Desktop. Every article is tagged by platform, so you can filter down to your stack and skip the rest.
How are articles categorized?
Articles get one or more tags like Performance, Architecture, Testing, CI/CD, Networking, or UI/UX. You can filter by category, company, or platform on the homepage, or browse tags on any article's summary page.
What are the summaries?
Each article gets a short summary (about 140 words) that covers what the article is about, the main takeaways, and why you might want to read the full thing. The goal is to save you time: skim the summary, then decide if the full post is worth the click.
How often is new content added?
We monitor 80+ company engineering blogs and add new articles as they go up. New content typically shows up every week.
Can I suggest an article or company to add?
Absolutely. If there's a mobile engineering article or company blog we're missing, let us know on X (@mobilevitals) or LinkedIn. We're always looking to cover more ground.
Is MobileVitals free to use?
Yes, totally free. No account, no paywall, no gated features. Everything on the site is open to everyone.
How does MobileVitals make money?
It doesn't, at least not right now. This is a passion project. We might look at sponsorships or premium features down the road, but the article library and summaries will stay free.
Who built MobileVitals?
MobileVitals was built by @magdoub, a product engineer in Cairo, Egypt, who got tired of bookmarking engineering blogs across a dozen different sites and wanted everything in one place.
